Blazing Saddles: 30th Anniversary Special Edition (DVD)
The railroad's got to run through the town of Rock Ridge. How do you drive out the townfolk in order to steal their land? Send in the toughest gang you've got...and name a new sheriff who'll last about 24 hours. But that's not really the plot of Blazing Saddles, just the pretext. Once Mel Brooks' lunatic film many call his best gets started, logic is lost in a blizzard of gags, jokes, quips, puns, howlers, growlers and outrageous assaults upon good taste or any taste at all. Cleavon Little as the new lawman, Gene Wilder as the wacko Waco Kid, Brooks himself as a dim-witted politico and Madeline Kahn in her Marlene Dietrich send-up that earned an Academy Award nomination all give this sagebrush saga their lunatic best. And when Blazing Saddles can't contain itself at the finale, it just proves the Old West will never be the same!

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The movie couldn’t be made today because of the use of the word “N”. It’s really sad. It shows how far society has slipped that we can’t laugh at ourselves anymore.
I've been a Mel Brooks fan ever since I saw Robin Hood: Men in Tights as a child and saw this, heard the N word said in so many ways that made the people saying it sound even more like complete idiots than they were and laughed in a way I never thought I would. And I can say this one's up at the peak of anyone who loves comedy like that. Warning though, please make sure no kids see this unless they know how to view it the right way cause that movie uses the one bad word that's not a cuss word ALOT
This movie is hilarious, I don't know why it isn't available on more streaming services but I highly recommend it. Renting it was easy on this service and I didn't have any problems at all.
In typical Mel Brooks style he takes the Western genre and lampoons it wonderfully. If you want to find them, you can find some light-touch comments on society, the film industry and America's mythology, but they are very light and all part of the wonderful humour. It is a tremendous romp which will have you laughing all the way. Have some spare underwear close to hand as you watch it!
fantastic movie! My father got me into this movie a long time ago. Mel Brooks did a great job directing this film and making it for everyone to laugh at almost everybody and every culture. Don't take yourself too seriously and enjoy the ride.
