I use to collect 16mm films and belonged to a film club that would host a Labor Day Weekend gathering that was in a different city each year. I loved Jacques Tati first with his holiday at the beach and then with his newphew in the modern day world and then with the modern day tale a day and night in the City. I purchased this film and watched it many times and loved the music and purchased the soundtrack album which is still available in UK. I had not seen this picture in about 20 years and was only mildly amused and enteratined with this re-viewing. The music was all there, but as a friend of mine stated "Its all a bunch of noise." And after this length of time I must agree. Tati did file bankruptcy after this film. So, I can only give the film an average rating.
