This is an account of the Johnstown Flood of 1889. It was very interesting and I enjoyed the use of old drawings and photos. I was born and raised in Johnstown and have heard so much about the flood, yet didn't really understand the full story. This DVD gave me a better idea of just what happened and what the people endured.

I am from Pennsylvania. This is an excellent historical teaching documentary. Now I am in California, where, sadly, it's obvious that history will be repeated.

I have this product on VHS and wanted to update to DVD. This "film" is an excellent and to the best of my knowledge a most accurate account of the flood. Having visited the dam site many times and going to hockey games in Johnstown the film places you "in the middle" of what happened and where. The stone bridge still stands. The path of the water is clear and can be followed. It is very difficult to think that certain areas such as Moxham were gone in a matter of seconds. This film helps you gain a better, clearer understanding of this tragic event.
It was what I was looking for. Glad I got the film.
