I never really knew a lot of the Johnstown Flood., then I saw snippets of this film and became interested to the point that I bought it. Unlike other video portrayals of events of this time period which use a lot of zooming in and out of period sketches, this production uses actors for most of the scenes. The acting is well done, to the point that you can put yourself there amongst them on that day. A tasteful, enjoyable, and informative production.

This Documentary is very fascinating but sad. Learned facts about this tragedy that I did not know before. Mr. Richard Dreyfuss did a marvelous job narrating. Like most tragedies we can only hope that we learn from it and try not to make that mistake again. This documentary is well worth seeing if you are a history buff or just plain education.
